Arthritis is the swelling and tenderness of one or more of your joints. The main symptoms of arthritis are joint pain and stiffness, which typically worsen with age.
“MOST IMPORTANT” AVOID – All citrus fruits, lemon, pickles & Urad daal etc. for 3 to 6 months.
The first & the foremost remedy to cure as well as a precautionary measure is to take Direct sunlight for at least 20 minutes, with the least clothes on the body.
Some effective home remedies to cure Arthritis:
- Take lime ( Calcium Oxide) 1 – 2 gms. with a little cow (Indian) ghee & gur (Jaggery) in the breakfast. If ghee & gur are not available, take with little water.
- Boil 15 leaves of HARSINGAR or PARIJAT (Nyctanthes arbor-tristis) tree in 2 glasses of water, when only 1 glass water remains, allow to cool down, filter & sip slowly. 2 – 3 times a day, for three months or as required.
This remedy also cures sciatica (Pl. see article on sciatica). - OIL for external use – Take 4 garlic buds (Ground or crushed), 1 Litre mustard oil, 4 Tablespoon full ground methidana (fenugreek seeds), 4 Tablespoon full ground Sonth, & 4 Table spoon full ground Ajwain(Carom seeds).
Boil garlic buds in mustard oil, till it turns light brown now add methidana, sonth & ajwain; boil till it becomes black. Allow it to cool down & store unfiltered. Apply ( No Massage) this oil on & around knee caps, 3 to 4 times in a day. - Slowly chew 5 – 6 leaves of Gudhal (Hibiscus) in the morning, empty stomach, mixing saliva well and sip one cup warm water for a fortnight This simple procedure will give miraculous results.
Constipation is the major hurdle in effective treatment of joint pains, arthritis & osteoarthritis. Following are the Precautions to be taken to avoid constipation.
Sip 2 glasses of lukewarm water slowly, immediately on getting up in the morning. If lukewarm water doesn’t suit, take room temperature water.
Take Chilka moong daal in meals. Chew food well, mixing saliva well. Drink water only after one & a half to two hrs. sipping very slowly.
Take beet vegetable at dinner.
Boil 5-6 munakkas ( After removing seeds) in desi Cow milk, allow to cool down , chew munakkas & drink milk.
Soak 2 anjeers (figs) & 10 munakkas ( After removing seeds) in some water in the morning. Eat 1 anjeer & 5 munakkas with lunch and 1 anjeer & 5 munakkas with dinner, chewing well.
This will also improve the Haemoglobin level in the blood.
